Challenging Ourselves to Learn, to Act Responsibly, to Achieve Goals, and to Persevere

Students at BAMS have been busy.  December was full of great performances.  Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students showed us how well they can sing and perform.  Students led the presentations from beginning to end to showcase the talents of their groups.  Thank you to all the members of chorus and band for their wonderful performances.

Students at BAMS participated in events to give back to the community.  Slater students worked with the Slater Family Network to collect Christmas presents for needy families in Bangor.  The present drive was a huge success with over 240 presents collected!  Students also contributed to the Giving Tree.  The Giving Tree is a Holiday tree where students can donate hats and gloves to needy families.  Thank you to all who helped to make both events a success.  We appreciate your giving hearts!

Eighth grade met with Mr. Munford and Mr. Krohn to discuss course selection for 9th grade.  Guidance counselors followed up to verify course selections and get everyone one step one closer to ninth grade.

Homework and communication

Bangor Middle School has moved to the website to display homework.  Teams will post homework on a daily basis.  Homework completion is an important part of the learning process.  Teachers limit homework to necessary practice and preparation for class material.  Please encourage your student to complete their assignments so he/she may fully participate in class activities.

Home Access Center

HAC is our computerized online grading and information system.  You can sign in and view your child’s grades as well as update demographic information.  Please take a moment and update the phone numbers, email addressed and emergency contacts on the Student Summary page. Parents will need a user name and password to access this information.  The user name can be obtained from our office.  Please understand you will need to present a photo ID to receive the information.  Please access the HAC from the link on the district website.
